HP wanted to do a big push of their Instant Ink offering - a subscription to automatic ink replacements. Part of this push was a variation of web ads targeting different types of consumers with different benefits of Instant Ink.
Web ads can be easy to miss - so to help draw attention, I proposed catching the viewers’ eye with a bright, punchy color and keeping their attention by starting off with a question. Posing an open-ended question tends to keep people's attention and gets them to internally process how they would answer themselves.
Below are the frames for a couple of the web ads that I developed. When animated, the web adsslide from frame to frame with the yellow line bouncing through each one.
